Saber rattling in the Strait of Hormuz
How is this not the biggest news all day? How is hardly anyone talking about this?
This is Cuban missile crisis big. Now England is sending their awesome new Type 45 destroyer that cost, literally, A FUCKING BILLION DOLLARS TO CONSTRUCT while Iran threatens to cut off what, 5-8% of the world’s oil supply? And now Iran is saying if the US plops their aircraft carrier there (they’re going to, I don’t see it not happening) that it will flat-out attack, all this amid Israel and the US planning joint exercises?
I mean there’s been boatloads of posturing in the past but MAN I don’t have a good feeling about any of this. This is closer than we’ve come in a long, long time.
